Labelled 'too rude' for the USA, popular UK band Arctic Monkeys have had there new album censored.

Suck It And See, the latest album from the Arctic Monkeys, has been censored in America after it was deemed to be “too rude” for music lovers.

The problem has come in the form of the album title itself which some supermarket chains in the US consider to be a little too racy to sell without the words of the title being covered up by a sticker while it sits on the shelves in stores.

Alex Turner, the frontman of the Arctic Monkeys, told Xfm: “They think it is rude, disrespectful and they're putting a sticker over it in certain stores, big ones.”
He added that the typically British album had “not travelled very well” over the Atlantic to the American audiences.

Also during the interview Alex Turner said that the band had put in a good deal of practice before the finally recorded the singles for the album by airing the new songs during gigs before they went of to the studio to put the finishing touches to songs.

This technique was used by the band in the recording of the debut hit album, Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not.

He said: “The first one obviously was one pretty much like that. We'd been playing it around before we recorded it. That was something we wanted to try and do again.”

For music lovers who are brave enough not to be offended by the title of the album, Suck It And See is out on June 6 but can already be streamed via the official Arctic Monkeys website.

The Arctic Monkeys ill also be performing tracks from their new fourth album during a series of festival appearances both in the UK and across Europe this summer.
