LadBaby’s warmhearted parody of Joan Jetts’ classic rock anthem ‘I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll’ is a delightful, cheery ode to the spirit of the holidays in England, something that brings the laugh as well as it brings the heart.

‘I Love Sausage Rolls’ is primed to top the charts in the UK during the much-coveted Christmas season, and to an immense philanthropic consequence: the song is recorded and released in association with the charity Trussell Trust, which seeks to support upwards of 1200 food banks across the country. Seeing how their previous sausage roll-inspired song ‘We Built This City on Sausage Rolls’ beat out the likes of Ariana Grande and Ava Max to claim number 1 on the UK singles chart in Christmas 2018, they will be hoping to make another go of it this year.

The couple behind LadBaby, Mark and Roxanne Hoyle, have amassed a massive fan following on Youtube due to their inspiring and amusing blogs on parenthood, and they are using their fame to raise awareness and money for the work being done by food banks across the country. The social implications of art are set on full display here, yet not pushed down to the viewers explicitly. The video accompanying the song sees them sneak into the Abbey Road studios, clad in sausage-themed onesies, their kids in tow sporting the same matching outfits, and the whole family jamming out to their vocals in the studio. The video exemplifies their chemistry and togetherness; aspects that were key to their perception of such a wholesome, united and loving family.

The sausage roll is an endeared food item in the UK, and it invokes themes of family, merriment, and celebration during the holiday season. As Mark and Roxanne dance around the bun-shaped beanbag in the recording studio, they help remind the viewers of what it is that is so special about the holiday season. As they hope to overtake the likes of Stormzy, Lewis Capaldi and Tones and I to seize the No. 1 title, they are actually contributing vitally to charity and the matter of food banks in the country that has become a source of sustenance for the people more so than ever before.

As we speak the video is #2 trending on Youtube. Watch below:
