Isaiah Looks Back at The Disco Age For His Single ‘Thinking About You’

Young Australian sensation Isaiah Firebrace puts himself in running for a truly electrifying breakout year ahead with the release of his latest single ‘Thinking About You’.
In what can only be described as a bonafide pop smash, Isaiah’s deep, high-pitched voice croons and dips to the sweetest notes as he explores the profound infatuations of a romantic connection. The versatility of his voice must be appreciated in full as he displays a wide range of qualities throughout. From an affable eighties-steeped richness to a campy disco vibe, Isaiah leverages his vocal chops quite perfectly to match the style of the composition. He holds down the high notes expertly, his voice floating through the tenor range. The first verses already set the tone for an electropop shakeup on the dance floor but when the bass kicks in during the pre-chorus, the tune ascends into a distinct level on its own.
The chorus is a delightful encapsulation of the song’s themes, detailing the obsessions, the compulsions and the moments that constitute a relationship. Isaiah Firebrace is no stranger to putting his creativity to use, as he has been an avid singer-songwriter from a young age, having gone to a performing arts school in Melbourne, Australia. Then he went on to become a contestant in the eighth season of X-Factor Australia, a competition he ended up winning. Such a boost would be satisfactory for any emerging singer but Isaiah went above and beyond to participate as the Australian entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017, with his song ‘Don’t Come Easy’.
His fans will be hoping for a full-fledged album this year but that is yet to be seen at this point. Reflecting back on his time on X-Factor, Isaiah says;
“It’s weird how quick time’s gone and how much has happened since then. I am very, very grateful because not only did I grow as a performer and as a singer but with my personal confidence and you know, being comfortable with new people. It was just a huge growing experience.”
