When the Olympics hit London in 2012, it will be talented band Elbow that you will hear playing as the soundtrack theme. Its a six minute song they have recorded specially for the games. The band were delighted to be involved with the BBC and described that it was a "real responsibility".

The group which consists of front man Guy Garvey are currently known for their recent album 'Build A Rocket Boys' which they released earlier on this year.

Garvey expressed that he was 'knocked out' to be involved in an interview with the BBC. He then went on and said it was quite a responsibility to be involved in such an event.

Elbow have been around some time now, they currently have made five albums. Garvey had mentioned that there will be a follow up to Build A Rocket Boys but isn't sure when the 6th Album will be released.

Theres little information currently about how the new Olympic theme will sound, nor is there an release of a name for it. No doubt, It will have to be quite a serious and extremely professional sounding track to represent the games.

Many are suggesting it will be up beat and energizing. Elbow fans are have reacted with great enthusiasm since the news broke out.
