Music Social Network Site Flowd Introduces New Mobile Apps
- in Latest
The social network site Flowd that was set up for die hard music fans was previously somewhat unsuccessful. However, the recent addition of some brand new applications with a significant number of extra features has got people talking in the world of music technology.
The latest additions to the site include brand new mobile applications which allow users of the site to sync their accounts with Twitter and YouTube. Meaning that users who wish to be updated on latest news from their favourite artists can do so with ease. The artist does not have to have a Flowd account or be included on the list of artists already on Flowd. You can go through artists profiles and add or follow them like you would with most social network sites. This allows you to get instant access to artist updates, new songs and recent gig information.
Another extra addition allows Flowd to check your mobile phone for the latest songs you have been playing. Flowd will then be able to provide you with a list of artists that you might like, without you having to look through every single artist who is already on Flowd. This app is available with iOS and Android. This new app allows the user to send artist information from Flowd to Facebook and to Twitter all at the same time; facilitating sharing information between users online friends. Music tech lovers have stated that although this is a big step for Flowd the site still has a long way to go to reach the standards of sites like Spotify.
The brand new Flowd apps are free to download through iTunes, Ovi and Android. However, if Ovi users which to update their app they cannot do this as of yet. Application updates for Flowd are only available through iOS and Android at the moment. They will be available through Ovi in the near future.
