With love on her mind, Dinah Jane has released a new single to satisfy our needs for a sexy track during these dark times.
The Fifth Harmony singer's new single “Missed A Spot” encompasses that sex appeal while maintaining her lighthearted aura. The track samples the record “Down Under” by Australia rock band Men At Work. However, with the assistance of Producer J.R Rotem, “Missed A Spot” brings a unique and modern sound by merging the 80s sample with hip-hop and R&B vibes.
With many of us missing out on our spring flings this year due to the “safe-at-home” orders across the globe, we’re now able to live out our romantic fantasies through this track. In a recent interview with Rated R&B, Dinah Jane elaborated on her thoughts on her new record. “There are so many parts on the track that I consider my favorite. I find the second verse dope because I give my alter ego a shoutout, and then the post-chorus is just so damn catchy. It’s sexy and empowering at the same time.” she shared.
Dinah’s ability to vocalize her sexual fantasies through her lyrics spices up this record immensely. Alongside co-writers MoZella and Lisa Scinta, the flirty and vibrant lyrics on this track set the song up to be a top-charting radio hit. With lines like “Miss that shake in my thighs. When you're lonely, only you get it right” and “I know you love it when you go down under. Rain falling', yeah, we makin' thunder. Finding' shelter underneath these covers,” we get a front-row seat into what Dinah Jane wants and needs from a romantic partner. Although Dinah Jane had to pause filming a music video for “Missed A Spot” due to the global pandemic, we did get a fun and flirty lyric video for the catchy record. Check it out below!
