Amy Winehouse's last album has shot straight to number one in the UK charts.  The album which was produced by friend and producer for the late singer songwriter, Mark Ronson. It features a collection of self penned original songs as well as covers of other artist's tracks.  The album was released on Monday and has sold nearly 200,000 copies since it's release date.  The album was put together after Mark Ronson and friends went through a large number of previously recorded vocal tracks by Amy. They decided to compile the album after her tragic death at the age of 27 in July 2011.

It has been reported that part of the money from the sales of the album will go to the Amy Winehouse Foundation which was set up by her father after her death. The charity was set up to help young people who suffer from addiction.

Amy's mother Janis has stated that she is very happy and proud of her daughter that her final album went to the number one spot. The proceeds will help other people who suffer with the same problems that her late daughter suffered with. She stated that she is glad that the album will be helping people as well as continuing her legacy.

After an inquest took place this year it was found that the singer died of severe alcohol poisoning as she was more than five times over the legal limit.  The talented singer was found dead at her home in Camden, North West London on July 23 2011.
