In recent years there has been a trend for underground bands playing in each others living rooms. A brand new start up company has launched to try and facilitate the process for bands playing in each others front rooms. Slowbizz aims to make the whole process more organised and to make it easier for bands to get in touch with each other to organize events in their homes. The company is aiming to introduce a social network and a web application to make the whole thing a reality.

The new company is calling itself the worlds first ever home concert network. They plan on creating a whole network of musicians and hosts, as well as music fans who want to attend the ever so intimate shows.

This is great if you want to book a band for a birthday party or wedding anniversary. Or, if you just want a band to come and play for the fun of it. There is a huge potential with this site, and live music pundits are already giving it the thumbs up.

The service has not launched but it is still possible for you to register on the site. You can either register as a host or, as an artist.  The site is in it's early stages yet and as of yet you cannot sign up as a host and book a band. However, it has been reported that once the site reaches 1,000 hosts then they will move on to the next step. Which is being called the “concert phase,” where bands can be booked to play in your living room.

The new service will make it whole lot easier for bands to play in your home without the hassle of having to search for a band.  The site is hoped to fully launch in the early part of 2012.
