A UK couple found themselves in court after playing Rihannas music with excessive volume. Both were hit with a considerable fine after neighbors complained about the excessive volume, which took place over many months.

The couple both in their 20's blasted out Rihanna's tunes so loud their older neighbors had no choice but to report them. The couple Sean Brough and Lyndsey Smith who live in York were fined over £1000 when they failed to take notice.

The story hit national UK newspaper The Telegraph today.

The noise complaints were from an 8 month period of loud music being played past midnight. The final straw was when local authorities heard the music for themselves on November 27th.

Apparently to top it off, in court the couple tried to get away with the offense by saying that Rihanna had a "great range of music". In a last ditched attempt they also added that she was very hot too. Unfortunately the court did not see this as a good enough excuse.

So next time you crank up your favorite artist, remember not to annoy your neighbors too much, it could end up being costly!
