It has been reported that rapper and producer Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg have plans to take the hologram of the late Tupac Shakur on tour. The life like hologram of the rapper featured in a performance at Coachella Valley Music Arts Festival which took place April 15.

The hologram appeared during Dr Dre and Snoops headline set at the festival in California. The set included performances from Eminem and 50 Cent, as well as Warren G.

The performance was a great success according to reports. Now, there are reports that the pair plan on taking the whole thing to the next level. They are considering a tour which would include them both performing alongside the lifelike hologram of the late Tupac.

The plans which are currently in the pipeline are said to include a stadium tour which will also feature Eminem, 50 Cent and Wiz Khalifa. There will also be another smaller tour which will feature Dre and Snoop Dog performing alongside the virtual Tupac.

The hologram was created by US company Digital Domain. A spokesperson for the company stated that the project was extremely complicated. However Dre is keen to use holograms in the future, and wants to take it to the next level.

The festival also featured sets from Florence and the Machine, Radiohead and the Black Keys. The festival will for the first time span two weekends and will continue on April 20 to 22.
