Avatar Musicians Rise From Dead - Jimi Hendrix & Marvin Gaye Next?
- in Latest
After seeing Tupac rise from the dead live on stage in hologram form on Sunday, the music world has started to talk about which star we may see next. Dre and Snoop decided to take Tupac's hologram on stage with them and the results have been good.
Although its something that has been seen before, Tupac's avatar hologram is said to be the first of its kind of a dead musician. Tupac who passed away in 1996 carries a lot of fans and a legacy which is still present today.
The hologram was no easy task, apparently it cost nearly half a million dollars to generate. It just goes to show how advances of technology can be combined with even music to 'bring people from the dead'. It has not been without its critiques though, some have labeled it 'terrifying and distasteful'.
Since, Dr Dre has spoken about the performance and explained that everyone was loving the display and he is thinking of taking Tupac's avatar on tour. He also added that it would be good to bring the likes of Marvin Gaye and Jimi Hendrix back to life with similar hologram techniques.
Dr Dr- "Hopefully, we can see Jimi Hendrix and Marvin Gaye. Let's see what happens."
To create avatar holograms it must take a lot of time, its also a specialist operation. In addition the stage settings must have to be right. Its probably something we will be seeing a lot more of now too. Who knows maybe we will soon be able to watch artists who have passed away years ago in high quality life like performances.
