The rapper who was born Cameron Jibril Thomaz was apparantly called on by police in his hotel room at Holiday Inn in Nashville on Saturday (April 23) The police were called to his room as a result of guest complaints of a smell coming from the rappers room. According to celebrity news website TMZ.com.

When police arrived at his room the rapper apparantly threw the marijuana out the window. Once it was recovered he admitted possession, and was subsequently served a citation rather being arrested.

The rapper has always been very open about his use of marijuana. His first album is called 'Rolling Papers.'

Wiz Khalifa has been facing other legal problems this year. In January 2012, he was served a $2.3 million lawsuit by another artist Maxamillion. The lawsuit was brought forward because Maxamillion claims that Wiz Khalifa's hit single 'Black and Yellow' took parts of his song 'Pink and Yellow' without permission. The lawsuit continues, no judgements have yet been made.
