No Doubt's Music Avatar Video Game Lawsuit to go in front of Jury

Reports have emerged that a lawsuit which has been going since 2009 is set to go in front of a jury. The band No Doubt who's fronted by female artist Gwen Stefani. According to claims No Doubt where apparently unhappy by a feature of the video game Band Hero which lets users unblock avatars.
Developers of Band Hero Activision have since had lawsuit fight against them. This news was first reported by the Associated Press but since then has gained quite a bit of interest online.
So why is No Doubt so unhappy? Well the issue comes when the avatars of musicians can be used to perform other artists songs. No Doubt claim that Activision did not tell them about this feature.
To back this up, it has been said that in the suit that the video games creates a "virtual karaoke circus act". Also, Gwen Stefani's avatar could be used to perform say a hit from the likes of The Rolling Stones "Honky Tonk Women" which contains suggestive lyrics about sex with prostitutes etc.
According to The Associated press though, makers of the video game Band Hero have a recording of when the company told No Doubt about the avatar unblock feature.
The jury is reported to see the case later this year
