- in Latest
It has emerged that on the eve of the Eurovision song contest last week, a plot to kill Jedward and other contestants was foiled by Azerbaijan police. It is said that a high level attack was planned for the show. Apparently some of the hotels where stars were staying were targeted including the actual hall where the event took place.
40 people have been arrested and it has been reported that two involved in the plots also got shot dead in the lead up to the show. Details were not published about the terrorists plans at the time of the show, as it was feared it could of damaged the mood of the show and caused public concern. All of the people arrested are claimed to be linked to Al Qaeda.

Many weapons were discovered including bomb devices and machine guns. Luckily officials were on the ball and they did not mess around.
Irish twins Jedward were staying in one of the hotels where plans by the terrorists were made. They were representing Ireland in the show. Unfortunately they failed to impress many in Europe coming 19th.
The Eurovision song contest has to many in the UK become some what of a joke. Many say its highly political and the UK seem to always suffer points wise. In fact, this year the UK came second to last. The performance though by Engelbert Humperdinck was less than satisfying to many though.
