Halo Video Game to Feature Music From Former Beatle Paul McCartney
- in Latest
In a new revelation, the former Beatles star has said he is working on a new project with the highly successful video game Halo. This came about when McCartney posted on his Twitter page earlier.
There has been little more said about this and its yet unclear how he will feature in the game but he stated that he was "really excited to be working on writing music with Bungie."
This unusual twist to McCartney career is not too much of a surprise to some as he is known to be quite adventurous when he comes to how he sells himself as a musician. Earlier this year he actually told UK newspapers that he wanted to get into the video game industry as its becoming a lot more successful than music CD's. He basically said there's more money in the whole video console market.
This sure seems a clever and interesting way of marketing his music, many suggest that it will also reach out to the younger end and allow people to listen to his music for the first time.
Adam Bailey from music Talkers said:
"Other musicians may likely follow suite as video games get more popular, with graphics and game play becoming more advanced by the day. These platforms are becoming a strong means to market music in a fashionable and glamorous way. I guess ten years ago, not many musicians would be keen to use their songs on some basic 8 bit game. However, state of the art games are becoming as advanced and important as movies almost'".
According to reports and rumors Paul McCartney wont be heard on the next Halo 4 game due out.
