in Latest
Today we cover Glen Naylor, an Australian song writer who prominently focuses on kids music. We discuss her latest album ‘The Bonza Bobby Dazzler Bush Band’ and her awards and recognition around the world

Australian songwriter Glen Naylor has been recently causing a stir with her own tailor made children’s songs. Appearing in various publications, both online, in print and aired on radio. Together with her co-writer Chris Wilson the Aussie writer is making a success of what would be considered as a less common genre of music. In recent times Glen Naylor has picked up many awards and been featured on various websites, radio stations and other publications internationally.

Specializing in kid’s music Glen and Chris have combined traditional Australian instruments, sounds, animals humour and wrapped it all into one fun package. Their unique music and style has been picked up around the world. ‘The Bonza Bobby Dazzler Bush Band’ is the name of the kids album.  Right from the album cover, it’s set to catch the attention of the younger children and their parents.  Lyrics are fun and bouncy, the instruments are used in a way to excite too.

More interestingly, the music contains an array of instruments from piano, saxophone and banjo, as well as traditional Australian sounds.  In fact, it’s no wonder why Glen Naylor has become so well known for her songs because it probably wouldn’t be able to be replicated by anyone else.  Being a Nana herself will be another contributing factor to help her create the perfect music to entertain.

“One of life’s greatest pleasures is to see the beautiful smiling faces of children and to hear their laughter, which is why and for whom these songs have been written and especially for my five gorgeous grandchildren, Conway, Zac, Zoe, Indi and Jade”.

As a songwriter Glen has also received recognition from some of the biggest names in the business.  Namely, the legendary Mike Pinder of the Moody Blues and Eugene Foley of www.FoleyEntertainment.com  in the U.S.

In addition, Gary Allen editor of the Music City Beat in Nashville has been Glen’s strongest supporter right from the start. Gary was with the Charlie Daniels band and another legend JJ Cale, with whom Gary has recently recorded.  Gary has toured with big names like Eric Clapton,  The Rolling Stones,  Bruce Springsteen, ZZ Top and many others. Glen is going to be reviewed by Gary as the winner of his contest and will be the featured artist in the November 2012 edition of The Music City Beat in Nashville.

The last couple of months have seen great success for Glen in Nashville and other contests and also comingin at second place in ‘Children’ in the Dallas Songwriters Ass.

This year follows on from a string of achievements from last, where she also got a commendation in a competition in the U.K. and was number  two in ‘Children’ in the Australian Songwriters Contest with the song ‘Rock and rolling Nana’.
