1) A big part of Apple's improvements for the iPhone 5 is the introduction of three microphones. The iPhone has always been known for its good quality recordings. Now it seems the latest model will be even better. With the iPhone 5 you can see a microphone on the front, back and bottom of the device. It is said that it will give a deeper level of sound. The microphones will be used to enhance voice recordings but they will also be used with music app's both old and emerging. It may also lead to new ideas and developments with music tools etc on the device.
2) Ear Pods. Cleverly named, new headphones have been released with the latest model. The sound is meant to be improved after complaints about previous headphones which came with older models. Once again its a positive step forward for the music fan who enjoys a quality sound.
3) Improved and faster processor means better running of music apps, especially music makers etc which use it
4) Larger screen are of 9mm and improved quality could mean better functionality for music app's, however the older applications will have to be modified to cater for the new size.
5) The new device now has LTE Connectivity, this will be used to transfer music and files to iCloud etc, this could be good for people who make music on the go.
6) Lightning connector - This is a new type of connector which could be used for music hardware etc, however the only problem is that its another different connector which could be more hassle than its worth if it wont fit certain devices.
The most obvious advantages for your average music fan will be the improved recording features and the Earpods. Depending on what you use your phone for will determine which features you will notice. If you are a music maker or music app user, then the faster processor, larger screen, new connectivity methods will be all beneficial.
