X Factor Drama: Tulisa Loses First Act, Jade Ellis
- in Latest
Last night's X Factor results show certainly didn't disappoint when it came to delivering the drama that has become almost as common as judge Tulisa this series.
Fresh from the rubble of what Tweeters have dubbed "fag ash gate" Tulisa came back fighting sporting a nicotine patch next to her trademark "the female boss" tattoo. That might have been an effective comeback had it been produced the previous evening. As it was, it just looked like a desperate attempt to regain some of the cred that Gary had taken from her the night before.
Gary Barlow's old mate Robbie Williams performed his new single "Candy" in spectacular style and announced to the world his undying support for Nicole's act Rylan, much to Gary's horrror. He also caused a stir by giving judge Louis Wlash what presenter Dermot O'Leary described as "his second lapdance of the series." Lucky man. I'm sure plenty of people, both men and women out there that would have loved to trade places with him.
The main event of course was the elimination which turned out to be a showdown between Union J and Jade Ellis. Both had received mixed comments fromt he judges after their Halloween themed performances and were expected to be in trouble after the public vote. Jade gave a stunning performance of Dido's White Flag but in the end she was unanimously voted off by the judges resulting in floods of tears- and that was just the Union J boys.
Tulisa did not look happy to be losing her first act, shooting Gary a look that should have turned him to stone but hope is not entirely lost for her as she still has Ella Handerson who is still the bookie's favourite to win, and Lucy Spraggen, who has her own following of dedicated fans. Spraggen was given a free pass through to next week's shows after being rendered unable to perform due to coming down with the flu. It remains to be seen whether or not there will be a backlash with some viewers who dubbed this decision unfair.
