Apple has announced that they will be delaying the release of iTunes 11. The updated software was due for release at the end of October but at the last moment was put back by Apple.

The technology giant has cited the fact that they want to “take a little extra time to get it right” as the reason for the delay.

The new version of iTunes is set to be the biggest shake up to the programme since its launch back in 2003 with one of the most notable changes being the new “Up next” feature that lets users cue up tracks.

Despite additional features, an Apple spokesperson said that users can look forward to a “dramatically simpler” iTunes and “seamless integration” with iCloud.

No official release date has been announced by Apple as yet though iTunes 11 is expected to land before the end of November.
