London's 51st Festival Unveils Diverse Lineup of Dance Music Icons for 2023

The 51st Festival, a celebrated UK music festival, has announced its full lineup for 2023, taking place on August 5th at Copthall Playing Fields in London. The event, which has a reputation for bringing together classic and emerging dance music, is known for combining nostalgic, iconic acts with cutting-edge new music. It is also renowned for its inclusivity, celebrating house music across its many genres, including soulful, classic, tech, Afro, garage, disco, RnB, dancehall, soca, Amapiano, drum & bass, and more.
Over 100 dance music icons, legends, and party starters will perform across six stages, with Bobby and Steve’s legendary Ibiza label and events promotion company, Groove Odyssey, set to host the main stage. The stage will feature Louie Vega and David Morales' DJ and production collaboration Kings of House NYC, famed NYC party starters Body & Soul, and French ambassador of stylish club sounds, Dimitri from Paris, among others. The legendary Notting Hill Carnival sound system Rampage will host a mix of live and DJ talent, including DJ Jazzy Jeff and vibraphonist/vocalist Roy Ayers, who will perform as part of his ‘Farewell tour’.
Backto95, legendary old-school house and garage promoters, will host a slew of some of the biggest names in UK music, including Todd Edwards, Heartless Crew, Grant Nelson, and Norris ‘Da Boss’ Windross. La Fiesta will host Grammy award-winning New York house master Roger Sanchez and Grammy Award-nominated DJ/Producer Todd Terry. The Dolly Rockers will present British DJ Norman Jay, disco/funk and house master from Perth, Australia, Dr Packer, and RatPack, aka DJ Lipmaster Mark & MC Evenson Allen, with a classic house set. House FM’s VIP stage will feature Chicago house producer and hero of the underground, Mike Dunn, and international house DJ, producer, tastemaker, and label boss DJ Pioneer, among others.
Aside from the music, 51st Festival promises an unmatched atmosphere, with brand-new food vendors and easy accessibility by tube, car, train, and bus. Michael Hughes, festival organizer, said, "We are excited to return to our new home Copthall Playing Fields, Barnet, where we plan to build and grow on the success of 2022. We will bring you one of London's premier multi-genre dance music festivals with state-of-the-art production and high-calibre international and UK artists."
