Lizzy McAlpine, the viral sensation known for her hit song "ceilings," has just released two new Spotify Singles. The first single is a reworking of her popular record "ceilings," recorded in the Spotify Studios in LA. This softer rendition showcases McAlpine's raw yet angelic variation, highlighting her growth as an artist. The second single is an acoustic cover of Dawes’ “A Little Bit of Everything,” which McAlpine turned into a beautiful ballad.

Since McAlpine first rose to fame on TikTok and Instagram in 2020, her music has gone viral multiple times, resulting in over 18 million monthly listeners. Her most recent release, "ceilings," has generated over 151 million listens on Spotify.

McAlpine's unique sound has attracted fans from all over the world, and her music has received praise from several high-profile artists, including FINNEAS, Phoebe Bridgers, Shawn Mendes, and Camila Cabello. With her new album, "five seconds flat," McAlpine is taking her music in a new direction. This 14-song album tells a story of heartbreak and is accompanied by a short film that McAlpine wrote and starred in.

The album features a blend of guitar, bass, drums, piano, horns, and strings, with assertive electronic elements that showcase McAlpine's abundant talent. McAlpine worked with producer and multi-instrumentalist Philip Etherington, her Berklee College of Music classmate, as well as Ehren Ebbage, and four featured vocalists, including Grammy winners FINNEAS and Jacob Collier.

In addition to her music, McAlpine has also tapped into her love of screenwriting and acting with the short film that accompanies "five seconds flat." The film consists of music videos for five of the songs on the album, connected through non-music scenes that let McAlpine flex her acting chops.

McAlpine's new Spotify Singles show her growth as an artist and highlight her unique sound. With "five seconds flat," she is taking her music in a new direction, building on her past while looking towards the future. "We're taking everything to the next level with this album," says McAlpine. "I'm moving in the right direction, and it's really exciting."
