Talks Over a Kurt Cobain Musical Squashed by Courtney Love

Kurt Cobain, the lead singer of the grunge band Nirvana has been widely accepted as a rock god in his own rights and the leader of a generation of early 90s teens, and the singer’s widow Courtney Love has always fiercely defended his name following his tragic death in 1994.

Love has come out fighting over recent claims that her co-manager Sam Lufti is working on a Nirvana musical. The musical will apparently follow the story of Love’s life with Cobain although she is strongly denying saying that “there will be no musical. Sometimes it’s better to just leave things alone”.

This isn't the first time that Love has come to the defence of the late singer’s memory. In 2009, she threatened to sue the creators of the video game Guitar Hero over claims that she wasn't consulted about a feature in the game which allowed users to play songs that weren't by Nirvana as Cobain.

Although there is no doubt that a Nirvana-themed musical would surely bring huge commercial success, Love is determined that the memory of Cobain will remain intact..
