Alyssa Bonagura is a critically acclaimed singer-songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist hailing from Nashville. Her music blurs the boundaries between genres, incorporating elements of country, rock, and pop. After spending four years studying Sound Technology at Paul McCartney's LIPA, she moved to London, where she fell in love with a Brit and found new roots.
Bonagura's upcoming EP, "Fly with Me," is a deeply personal project that takes listeners on a journey through her life since relocating to London. Each song is like a diary entry, detailing the new world that has bloomed around her. The EP features her latest single, "Jealous," which showcases her signature sound and highlights the emotional depth of her lyrics.
In addition to "Jealous," "Fly with Me" includes "One Kiss," a cinematic love song with strings composed by Laurentia Editha of Hans Zimmer's Bleeding Fingers Music collective. The EP was entirely performed, produced, programmed, and mixed by Alyssa, with the exception of "One Kiss."
"Fly with Me" represents a significant milestone for Bonagura, as it's her first release with Extreme Music, the production arm of Sony Music Publishing. The EP is a taste of what's to come, with a full album planned for release before the end of the year. Fans can expect more of Bonagura's signature sound, blending the southern storytelling of country music with the free-thinking spirit of rock & roll and the sweeping sound of British pop.
Bonagura is in high demand as a songwriter and collaborator, and her recent releases include "Keep It Safe," a duet with Caroline Jones that has amassed over 3 million streams to date. She's also been performing at various festivals and shows this summer, including multiple appearances at the C2C Festival at the O2 Arena, where she performed live on BBC Radio 2 alongside other talented artists.
Bonagura's upcoming schedule includes a "Country For Kids" set at the Highways Festival at the Royal Albert Hall on May 20th, a performance at The Half Moon on June 3rd, and an American music night at The Bedford on July 4th. She'll also be performing at the BCMA Fan Fest in Newark on July 9th and the Hot Box Country & Folk Festival in Chelmsford on August 5th. Fans can catch her at these events, and tickets are available now.
Overall, "Fly with Me" is an exciting new project from Alyssa Bonagura, showcasing her growth as an artist and the new roots she's found in London. Her unique blend of genres and heartfelt lyrics are sure to resonate with listeners around the world.
