Queens of the Stone Age Recruit New Drummer
- in Latest
Queens of the Stone Age singer Josh Homme has announced that the band's drummer Joey Castillo has left the band.
Homme announced the news during a BBC interview and has revealed that he has drafted in a very famous friend in Foo Fighters front man Dave Grohl to replace Castillo on the band's new album.
Grohl previously played drums on QOTSA's 2002 album Songs for the Deaf and has appeared in a number of the groups videos including for the song No One Knows. Grohl also plays drums in his part time band, Them Crooked Vultures along with Homme, who is on vocals.
It is not known yet if Grohl will be appearing strictly on the album or if he will be joining the band on tour.
