Emerging from a recent standout performance at the P!NK’s Summer Carnival held at BST Hyde Park, as well as a sold-out show at Courtyard Theatre, we are excited to present Will Linley's latest heartfelt single, "Gracie." The track is now available through Island Records, and you can listen to it below.
In "Gracie," Linley explores a sense of renewed optimism as he addresses his future soulmate. With poignant lyrics in the chorus, he sings, "In Gracie's embrace, I find solace, healing my fractured heart. Take me away from this solitude, in search of a kindred spirit like you." The song beautifully captures the universal excitement of anticipating an impending romantic connection. Demonstrating his growing command of the pop genre, Linley crafts an intimate composition that delves into the intricate and sometimes puzzling dynamics of relationships within the Gen Z context. Fusing his velvety vocals with a vibrant acoustic arrangement, the song envelops listeners in a cascade of emotions.
Linley sheds light on his creative process and the significance behind "Gracie," sharing, "Around a year ago, I collaborated with my friends Johnny and Adam to pen 'Gracie.' Our session began with casual conversations about life; I recounted my brother's recent wedding and the tales that accompanied it. From there, we ventured into the fascinating realm of pondering the unknowns of future companionship. Could I have already crossed paths with my destined partner? Might she be situated in a distant corner of the world, or perhaps right under my nose? Johnny shared a good-natured chuckle as he revealed his engagement to Lily, who is now his wife! This led us to create a heartfelt tribute to the person I'm destined to meet one day—my 'Gracie.' Although her identity remains veiled, I eagerly anticipate the serendipitous moment when our journeys intersect."
"Gracie" gracefully follows the release of Will Linley's earlier single, "Tough (The Girls Song)," further solidifying his musical trajectory. Notably, Linley commanded the stage at P!NK’s Summer Carnival hosted at BST Hyde Park, where he shared the spotlight with notable artists like Gwen Stefani and Sam Ryder. Linley's upcoming itinerary includes two eagerly awaited performances scheduled in New York and Los Angeles for October 2023:

About Will Linley: Hailing from Cape Town, Will Linley grew up within a musically inclined family, emerging as its youngest member. His musical journey commenced with the violin and viola before branching into piano and guitar. His formative years in high school saw the blossoming of his songwriting prowess, fueled by the influence of prominent pop singer-songwriters such as Dean Lewis, Lewis Capaldi, and Ed Sheeran. Linley's ascent to recognition commenced on TikTok, propelling his chart-topping, Gold-certified track, ‘miss me (when you’re gone),’ in South Africa.
