District 3 Kicked off the X Factor
- in Latest
Last night’s X Factor saw one of the most shocking results of the series so far with both of Louis Walsh’s remaining groups; District 3 and Union J finding themselves in the bottom two after receiving the fewest votes from the public.
After the Saturday night performance show, Tulisa’s fears that it might end up being a “battle of the bands” and that they would divide the votes were realised.
Although the two groups have their own hoards of dedicated supporters, ultimately Tulisa’s prediction of them splitting votes rang true.
In the sing off, both groups performed admirably with District 3 giving a rendition of Bruno Mar’s hit Just the Way you are and Union J performing Adele’s Set Fire to the Rain.
Louis waived his right to vote, saying that he just couldn't decide between his two acts and that left the three remaining judges to decide the group’s fate. The judge’s decision became unanimous with Gary Barlow declaring District 3’s performance their “worst vocal performance to date” and Nicole Scherzinger agreeing. Tulisa didn’t need to vote with the other two judge’s decision unanimous on sending the same act home but indicated that she would have chosen to save District 3.
This leaves Louis with just one act left in the competition; Union J and he certainly wasn’t happy with the result.
Two of the most controversial acts on the show, Christopher Maloney and Rylan Clark are still going strong despite having a lot of opposition from the public and from other contestants on the show.
