Shed Seven kicked off their 30th anniversary year with a bang as 'A Matter of Time' clinched the top spot on the charts, marking their first-ever #1 album. But the excitement doesn't stop there; 2024 holds even more surprises, beginning with today's release of their latest single, 'Let's Go Dancing'.

Already a beloved track among fans, particularly after the band's recent sold-out performances, 'Let's Go Dancing' showcases Shed Seven's versatility. With its mix of yearning, romance, and melancholy, this anthemic slow burner, driven by Rick Witter's passionate lyrics, resonates deeply. It's a plea for one last chance in the face of adversity, a beacon of hope amidst challenges. Produced by Youth (known for his work with The Verve, Pink Floyd) and mixed by Cenzo Townshend (of Florence + The Machine, Inhaler fame), the single is part of a larger album project.

Rick reflects on the significance of dancing, highlighting its capacity for both personal expression and communal joy. In a world sometimes overshadowed by negativity, he sees dancing as a reminder of love's presence. "Let's go dancing," he urges, envisioning a moment of shared bliss amid life's chaos.

For enthusiasts, 'Let's Go Dancing' is available as a limited edition run of 500 7" red vinyl singles, each signed and hand-numbered by the band. Additionally, two alternate versions—an edited radio cut and the original demo—are accessible on digital platforms.

The celebration of Shed Seven's three-decade journey is far from over. With three gigs on the horizon, including two sold-out 8000-capacity shows at York's Museum Gardens featuring special guest Peter Doherty, and a performance at the 30,000-capacity Big Bank Holiday Weekend alongside Blossoms, there's plenty more to come.

A rousing, fan-pleasing affair that dials down on their core values while still seeking out fresh challenges.” - Clash
