Today, Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter Jess Glynne unveils her latest intimate single "Enough," accompanied by the announcement of a poignant music video premiering on YouTube at 12:00 PM (GMT). Additionally, Glynne shares details about her highly anticipated third studio album "JESS," slated for release on April 26th via EMI Records (watch video below).
With "Enough," Glynne delivers her most personal work yet, joining a catalog that boasts over ten billion global streams. Notably, she holds the distinction of being the only British female solo artist to achieve seven number one hits on the UK Singles Chart, including global successes like "I'll Be There," "Hold My Hand," and "Don't Be So Hard on Yourself."
Penned in Los Angeles and produced by Adele hitmaker Greg Kurstin, "Enough" is an uplifting anthem exploring Glynne's journey towards self-worth and acceptance. With her distinctive vocals declaring "I'm more than enough" in the chorus, the track is elevated by Kurstin's polished pop production, marking a new chapter of intimate storytelling for the chart-topping superstar.
Reflecting on the single, Glynne shares:
"Enough is the first song that I knew was 100% going on the album. I wrote it in 2020 when I was going through a lot in my life. Everyone had been through it that year, and I was heavily hit by a feeling of insecurity and lack of self-worth. I was going through a lot of changes personally and professionally and my confidence had been really set back. As soon as we started writing, I was reminded in that moment, by the people in the room, that I am good enough and I am so proud of how far I have come. I’ve paid my dues, I’ve grafted and I’m not going back to ever letting anyone make me feel like I’m not good enough ever again. I hope others manage to feel hope and gain the same strength from it that I do – we are all Enough and there’s no going back to feeling otherwise. It was then that I knew in my gut by the way this song made me feel, this had to be the first single from my new album."
Accompanying the single is an emotionally charged music video directed by Olivia Rose, known for her work with artists like Jorja Smith and Anne-Marie. Shot against the backdrop of London's streets, the video captures Glynne in a raw, vulnerable performance as she embraces a newfound era of authenticity and self-expression.
Today's release marks the next chapter in Glynne's journey, following the success of last year's three new tracks and paving the way for the eagerly awaited album release in April.
If I was to summarise this album, firstly I would say that this album is unapologetically me, which is why I had to call it Jess. It’s about moving on and allowing myself to be secure, empowered, sexy, vulnerable and strong. I’ve allowed myself to be raw and honest with my lyrics.
