Band of the Hawk is back with their new recurring series #NewMusicFriday ! Every Friday there will be a new single dropped. So far there has been four released. 

Below is a brief overview, as we take a closer look at them:

King Midas is a smooth track. The instrumental is extra smooth. A real throwback hip-hop feel. The track is something you might of heard back in the day, perhaps on an early Sunday morning when your mom was cleaning. The lyrics reflect being stuck in the 80s. He repeats positive elevation and always corrects errors, which is something many of us can agree with.

Another smooth beat, “Funktion” is another dope one. Whoa Vada, STX, & Yeaux Majesty really made this beat pop. It has a catchy chorus too. The sax adds another great twist to it too. Who doesn't love a song with a nice sax in the background playing?

Following on, we have a jazzy and smooth number called “Free Form Jazz”. When the snaps come in, It gives a great chopped up beat sound. It sounds like repetitive 4 count repeated throughout the instrumental. Its chopped, screwed, and slowed down in different parts but the thing that remains constant is the piano and drums. It really goes with the title of the track. Sage Majestys voice really went well with this one. This is a real head bopper.

Message From the King doesn't sound like the other songs. Its more current sounding. Also, there are no rhymes on it but it still very dope. It has a nice Futuristic R&B sound to it. Definitely some cool phasers in it as well.
