There's no denying that we're living in times not known before. With the constant hammering of negative news and reports of chaos, it's good to see a little hope in these uncertain days.

Musicians have been one of the first to step forward to try and ease some pain, live streams, song releases of hope and live interviews have been easing some pressure, entertaining and taking the pressure off the pandemic situation.

Retired Pastor Peter Unger has just released a new track to offer hope through his music. He also wants to share a prayer with us, which you can read below.

Song And A Prayer has a country music feel to it with acoustic finger picking styles supported by electric guitar fills that continue throughout the song. The song feels optimistic, definitely not downbeat, and the lyric video features happy images of landscape, people and impressive views. Peter does a good job of spreading some positive vibes.

Peter also wants to share this prayer:

Let Your Spirit empower us to send out ripples of love through the ever-widening circles of relationship that interconnect us as Your children. Sanctioned by Your Grace, may we partner with You  to build and rebuild Your Kingdom in times that threaten the flesh and confront the spirit. Let our courage not-be the kind that denies our fears and anxieties but acts prayerfully in the face of them. Let us do so trusting that we are being carried safely in Your loving hands both in this life, and into the next.

For those left feeling immobilized, and helpless by fear, anxiety, depression, age, debilitation, or for any other reason may they be led to the greater truth of Your Grace; that they might come to understand and experience that we are first and foremost loved, and only then empowered, not for what we do, but for who, and whose we are in Jesus Christ.

“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, nor angels nor demons, neither present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Rom. 8:38,39
