Synthwave to Marry Progressive Trance

by Adam Bailey

Synthwave meets progressive trance with hot vocals. ear popping candy coming your way soon.

Operation Grand Slam (through Connaught Productions) announced the release of their debut single "Away" - available on all major music streaming platforms on Apr 21st.

Operation Grand Slam has four new songs that were recorded at Snakeweed Studios in Singapore. Their music is an unexpected and genre-disrupting marriage of synthwave's deep powerful bass lines, and analog supersonic synths. It is holding hands with progressive trance, thus raising the tension with immersive melodics, dance-calling build-ups, and breaks. Somehow it works - with the marriage glued together by flamboyant 80s analog synth pads, gated drums, and warm female reverb vocals.

“I am a wholehearted music lover. Starting my journey playing the bass guitar, later moving on to deejay progressive trance.I dub the 80s the golden era of music, where I draw inspiration from the mind-blowing depth, complexity, artistic freedom, and big echo sounds. By implementing elements from both scenes,I believe there are great creative untouched plains of music-making discovery to be made. My pursuit of excellence is on full speed ahead." - Sean Le Bon, Musician & Lead Artist Operation Grand Slam

"Working on the Operation Grand Slam project was as challenging as it was exciting. I think the band is breaking some new ground in electronic music - pushing it to the max with massive analog synths pads and keys. In concert with tight, rolling percussions - it creates a blend that tickles the music brain and suggests putting your dancing boots on."

- Leonard Soosay, Founder & Recording Engineer, Snakeweed Studios
