New Zealand's Country Music Singer-Songwriter, Joy Adams, Achieves Remarkable Feat As A Finalist At The Prestigious ISSA Awards

One of New Zealand’s best-known country recording artists, Joy Adams, has been recognized as a finalist in five categories at the highly esteemed International Singer-Songwriters Association (ISSA) Awards to be held in Atlanta, Georgia this August. After captivating audiences across the globe and achieving recent chart successes in Ireland and Australia, Adams' nomination sets the stage for a significant leap in her career.
Known for her deep connection with country music, Joy grew up on the tunes of legends like Marty Robbins, Charley Pride, and Connie Smith. Since her musical journey began in her childhood home in Taupo, NZ, she has released 21 successful albums, displaying her versatility across different genres, including country, easy listening, comedy, and gospel.
Her latest album, Just One Little Thing, co-written with Gary R Farmer, has been making waves globally, amassing almost half a million streams on Spotify, and two tracks reaching the #1 spot on the Irish Country Radio Charts. Despite recent health challenges affecting her vocal abilities, Joy’s resilience and commitment to her music continue to shine through.
