26-time Detroit Music Award winning rock band SWEET CRYSTAL follows up last year’s ‘Whatever Is Needed, Whatever It Takes’ with the second track from their upcoming album ‘8’.

The song ‘This Way Forever (Pearl Sound Remix)’ is a tune previously released but has been re-recorded and remixed in collaboration once again with award-winning mixer/engineer Chuck Alkazian (Christina Aguilera, Mitch Ryder, Pop Evil) at both Pearl Sound Studios and Nightcrier Studios.

Lead singer/keyboardist and the band’s main songwriter MarQ Andrew Speck (Q) explains why release this tune at this time:

“This song is a re-imagining of the story of the Prodigal Son in the Bible but from the prodigal’s point of view. It seems

to us that it’s just too easy these days to walk away from a situation, a person, even from God, without realizing the consequences of that action until later down the road.” The song features the signature guitar and keyboard arrangements the band is well known for, as well as an overall message of hope and encouragement.

SWEET CRYSTAL is also excited about the upcoming release of ‘8’, which will cap off last year’s major milestone for the band.

“2024 marked our ‘Golden Jubilee Celebration Year’ as the band celebrated 50 years together!” continues Q. “Not a whole lot of groups can claim 5 decades of the music, message, mission and ministry that defines us…and for that we are truly humbled, grateful and blessed.”
