Nate Smith, recently crowned the Academy of Country Music's New Male Artist of the Year, has released his latest single, "Bulletproof," featuring Avril Lavigne. The duo is set to perform the song live at the 59th ACM Awards in Frisco, Texas tonight. The awards ceremony, hosted by Reba McEntire, will be available for free streaming worldwide on Prime Video starting at 8 PM ET on May 16th, and 1 AM UK time on May 17th.

Smith’s new single, "Bulletproof," is part of his recently released seven-track EP, "Through The Smoke," which debuted last month via Sony Nashville. The EP includes Smith’s current US radio hit, "Bulletproof," which has climbed to #15 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart this week, along with five other new tracks and a cover of Nirvana's "Heart Shaped Box."

With over 1.3 billion career streams, Smith has dominated the Billboard Country Airplay chart, maintaining a ten-week consecutive run at the top with his hit single "World On Fire," which has amassed over 210 million global streams. This achievement ties with Morgan Wallen's "You Proof" for the longest run at No. 1 and makes Smith the first artist to secure this record with a second single at country radio.

In 2023, only 19 songs reached No. 1 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart, with two belonging to Smith. Both "World on Fire" and "Whiskey On You" are featured on his self-titled debut album.

About Nate Smith: Nate Smith, known for his gritty backwoods soul, rock ‘n’ roll swagger, and powerful vocals, has a personal journey that inspires his music. A California native and former worship leader, Smith’s influences range from Garth Brooks and Elvis Presley to Michael Jackson and Nirvana. After losing everything in the 2018 Camp Fire in Paradise, California, he turned back to music, eventually relocating to Nashville. Since then, he has become one of country music’s fastest-rising stars, with hits like the Platinum-certified "Whiskey On You" and his latest single "World On Fire," which spent ten consecutive weeks at No. 1 on country radio.

Smith’s debut album, along with its deluxe version, was released on April 28th and has already made a significant impact, hitting #6 on Billboard’s Country album charts and #30 on the Billboard Top 200. This year, Smith has also toured with Thomas Rhett and Cole Swindell. He is managed by Kevin "Chief" Zaruk and Simon Tikhman with The Core Entertainment.

Catch Nate Smith and Avril Lavigne's performance of "Bulletproof" tonight at the ACM Awards, streaming free on Prime Video.
