He got further than anyone ever thought he would on the X Factor and received a lot of criticism for it but as he departed, he promised that he would remain in the public eye.

The threat/ promise has now come true as it has been revealed that he has landed a temporary role on Daybreak as showbiz presenter.

There have been a lot of projects in the pipeline for Rylan upon his leaving the show including rumours of Eurovision and TOWIE but he will be focussing on his presenting job for the time being.

Rylan will be standing in for regular showbiz presenter Richard Arnold between 3^rd December and 7^th December at 7.50AM every morning so love him or hate him, there will be no escaping him.

When asked about his new role, Rylan said: I can't believe it! I only left X Factor a week ago and now I'm joining Lorraine and Aled on the Daybreak sofa.

"I'm a massive fan of the show and it’s going to be so much fun sharing all the showbiz news and gossip with the nation each morning.

"I'm looking forward to keeping Richard's seat warm while he’s swanning off on holiday, but I won't be asking for any dancing tips just yet!"

Rylan is said to be overwhelmed with the positive response and offers he’s had since leaving the X Factor and is very keen to represent the UK in Eurovision 2013.
