Imagine Dragons, the GRAMMY®-winning, multi-Platinum band, has released a special live performance of "Nice To Meet You" from their latest album, LOOM, as part of Vevo’s Extended Play series. The performance, captured at Los Angeles’ legendary Conway Studios, marks the beginning of the series that showcases artists in bespoke, visually stunning settings.
Earlier this summer, Imagine Dragons released LOOM to widespread acclaim. The album is praised for balancing the band’s signature sound with fresh, joyful elements introduced during its creation. To complement the album's release, the band is preparing for their largest North American headline tour to date, set to begin later this month.
Vevo’s Extended Play series features multi-song performances shot in unique locations that align with the vision of the artist’s project. This series starts in a primary location and progresses through various settings, illustrating the music’s evolution through the creative process. Extended Play aims to blend songwriting art with captivating visuals, offering viewers a unique experience.
Imagine Dragons’ performances for Extended Play were tailored to the band's aesthetic and captured in the rooms where LOOM was conceived. The performance of "Nice To Meet You" features frontman Dan Reynolds delivering an energetic and airy rendition, accompanied by vibrant, colored lights that complement the melody. The band performs atop warm-toned, ornate rugs, enhancing the intimate studio setting.
JP Evangelista, SVP of Content, Programming & Marketing at Vevo, expressed his admiration for the collaboration: “Imagine Dragons were so lovely to work with. We’ve always admired the supreme production and stellar visuals of their music videos, and they came to us with a clear creative vision for this new release. This Extended Play was the perfect opportunity to collaborate on a unique live take that’s extra special for the fans – bringing them to the very place where LOOM was created. Playing on the lights and tone in the studio’s intimate setting, the feel of the performance really captures the contrasting duality of the album: heavy, reflective lyrics and whimsical, escapist instrumentation.”
Fans have already begun to share their enthusiasm in the video comments, with one remarking, "The vibes this song has! I honestly like this stuff better than their mainstream songs..."
Imagine Dragons’ Extended Play on Vevo provides a fresh and immersive way to experience the new album, reflecting the band’s creative journey and the intricate production behind LOOM.
