49 Winchester have dropped their much-anticipated album "Leavin’ This Holler" via New West Records. The 10-song collection, produced by the band alongside Stewart Myers, features contributions from the Czech National Symphony Orchestra, singer-songwriter Maggie Antone, fiddler Philip Bowen, and guitarist Cole Chafin.

The album has already garnered critical acclaim. No Depression praised it as "a vital release, especially today," highlighting its comforting qualities in uncertain times. Glide Magazine noted the band's unwavering momentum, stating, "Leavin’ This Holler shows they have no intention of slowing down."

"Leavin’ This Holler" follows their 2022 album, "Fortune Favors the Bold," which established 49 Winchester as a prominent name in the alt-country scene. Rolling Stone named them “Country Music’s Buzziest of Buzz Bands” and included the album among the “25 Best Country and Americana Albums of 2022.” The record received similar accolades from Bandcamp, No Depression, Holler, PopMatters, and others, amassing over 150 million streams globally and earning a nomination for “Best Duo or Group” at the Americana Music Awards.

To accompany the album release, 49 Winchester also unveiled the video for the title track, "Leavin’ This Holler," featuring Maggie Antone. Frontman Isaac Gibson shared his thoughts on the project, saying, “This video project was a lot of fun for us. The vibes we were able to conjure up really suit the song. ‘Leavin’ This Holler’ feels like a breakup song, but it’s about the act of letting go and how hard it can be to leave places and faces that you know and love to find something greater.” He praised Antone’s contribution, noting, “Her harmonies are just what the song needed. She knocked it out of the park for the video shoot, and was great to work with as always.”

The emotional impact of the song resonated deeply with fans, as evidenced by a heartfelt comment on the video: "I'm Isaac's mother and this song ripped my heart out and squeezed it hard."

The tracklist for "Leavin’ This Holler" includes:

  1. Favor
  2. Hillbilly Happy
  3. Yearnin’ For You
  4. Make It Count
  5. Leavin’ This Holler
  6. Fast Asleep
  7. Tulsa
  8. Rest of My Days
  9. Traveling Band
  10. Anchor

Reflecting on the band's journey, Gibson recalled a poignant moment last October when he realized they were performing at London’s O2 Arena exactly 10 years after forming the band. “There’s been nothing in my life that’s ever lasted a decade,” he said. He attributed their success to the band’s determination and the strong familial bonds among members. Hailing from Castlewood, Virginia, 49 Winchester has risen from modest beginnings to international acclaim, capturing their signature sound of rollicking country and searing rock music with a matured approach on this new record.

"Leavin’ This Holler" is now available across digital platforms, compact disc, and various limited edition vinyl variants via New West Records.
