New findings from QR Code Generator have analysed online interest in Charli xcx after the release of her remix Guess featuring Billie Eilish. 

 After accumulating 14.4 million streams since its release on August 1^st, Guess featuring Billie Eilish has become the biggest debut for a female remix on global Spotify, surpassing Taylor Swift and Ice Spice’s remix of Karma.  

As a result, Charli xcx has gained 259,444 Instagram followers since Thursday. With a total follower count of 5.6 million, the musician can also earn up to £28,900 per sponsored post on the social media platform.  

Meanwhile, Billie Eilish’s social media presence is more turbulent. Despite gaining 34,645 Instagram followers since the remix’s release, the Oscar-award-winning singer-songwriter has also lost 5,845 followers.

“Charli xcx’s Brat has quickly become the soundtrack of summer 2024. The electropop album–which has influenced countless trends, including TikTok’s addictive Apple dance and the return of all things lime green in the fashion world–has catapulted the singer-songwriter into the limelight. In fact, data from Songstats shows that Charli xcx has gained 15.9 million global Spotify listeners over the last three months alone. 

“Brat summer is far from over, though. On August 1^st, Charli xcx released Guess featuring Billie Eilish; the remix has since broken Spotify records and has caused the musician to gain over 200,000 Instagram followers. Additionally, worldwide online interest in the ‘Charli xcx’ has soared 194% over the last seven days, according to Google Trends. As such, it will be interesting to see how her success will continue to flourish throughout the coming months.”
