Brazilian music superstar and philanthropist ALOK, popularly known for chart-topping collaborations with John Legend, Ellie Goulding, Ava Max, and Bebe Rexha, has released a new single, "Why I Love You So" with prolific British DJ and producer James Hurr and renowned English dance project Supafly. The dreamy dance summer track is an exciting new direction for ALOK and brings an Afro-house twist to his iconic dance pop production. “Why I Love You So” is available now on all DSPs and streaming platforms via Columbia/B1 Recordings/RCA Records. Listen below.

“Why I Love You So” is set to be the next summer anthem for the Brazilian DJ following “Summer’s Back” with British GRAMMY-winning singer/songwriter Jess Glynne, which already has over 12 million streams. The new single sees ALOK blend his skillful production with the unique styles of his collaborators to create a captivating sonic experience for fans. The song brings an Afro-house twist to ALOK’s iconic dance pop production with a modern beat. “Ooh, I love you so, but why I love you? I’ll never know” repeats throughout the melodic track, taking listeners on a blissful, nostalgic journey. The highly-anticipated single has already been featured in ALOK’s festival sets this summer and gone viral on TikTok so fans are eagerly awaiting it’s glocal release.

ALOK has been on fire again in 2024, having been voted the number 1 Latin American DJ in the world by DJ Mag and number 3 in the world by Spin Genie, which aggregates  publicly available data including monthly listeners, Google searches and more. In February, a crowd of more than 1 million people turned out in Brazil for his performance, setting a new record for the most people to attend a show. On the music front, he’s released smash singles such as "Summer’s Back" with British GRAMMY-winning singer/songwriter Jess Glynne and “Deep In Your Love” with multi-platinum hitmaker and star Bebe Rexh. ALOK is also wrapping up a successful Las Vegas residency with Tao Group Hospitality and preparing for his 'ÁUREA Tour', which will travel across Brazil bringing a custom mega structure stage into football stadiums in November.

Outside of his commercial ventures, ALOK is continuing his humanitarian work with his ALOK Institute and their philanthropic and musical project to support indigenous communities globally, “The Future Is Ancestral,” which has captured significant attention from being invited to perform at the United Nations and Global Citizen Festival, to being awarded by UNESCO and receiving support from the GRAMMY Museum in Los Angeles. ALOK also proudly released the music from the collaboration as The Future Is Ancestral album with artists from eight indigenous tribes from different regions of Brazil. Profits from the album go to the Indigenous artists who co-created the project, and there is no sign of the project’s success slowing down, with major concerts and performances to be announced soon.

Working with James Hurr and Supafly and going in a new Afro-house direction has brought me a fresh new energy and I can’t wait to share it with people around the world to enjoy as we close out the summer season”
