Nicole Scherzinger has hinted that she may not be returning to the X Factor next year.

The ex-Pussycat Doll is currently working on a new album and is apparently keen to focus on her music career.

She told The Sun: “I’m really glad I did the show. I don’t know if I’ll come back next year. End on a high, right?

“This year has changed my life. As an artist, it’s put into perspective what I want, how to go about it. People have made me so comfortable and I have to thank you.”

No decision has been made final yet although with her being so keen to progress within the music business as a performer, there won’t be enough room for her to judge on the show as well.

Ahead of the X Factor final, she has been visiting her two acts’ hometowns this week.

Earlier in the week, she visited James Arthur’s hometown of Saltburn-by-the-Sea and performed alongside him at a free gig at Middlesbrough Town Hall.

Yesterday, she visited Swindon where Jahmene Douglas hails from. They both visited the Asda store where Jahmene used to work before joining the show.

While they were performing to the unprecedented crowd that gathered, the supermarket presented Jahmene and his mum Mandy with a cheque for £10,000 for Women's Aid; a charity that is very close to his heart.
