Legendary rock band Oasis has just announced a reunion, with 14 shows across the UK. However, getting tickets may prove difficult for many unless you get the chance through the ballot as over a million people have searched for the original Oasis drummer in 24 hours, a key piece of information needed to secure a ballot entry.
Music experts at Playlist Name AI analysed Google search data from 27th of August when the pre-sale ballot began as to qualify for a ticket fans had to correctly answer one question: Who was the drummer in the initial Oasis lineup?
The options were Chris Sharrock, Tony McCarroll, and Alan White. McCarroll was the correct answer, and so far, within 24 hours, over one million people have been to Google to find out.

In total, over the 14 shows, the number able to attend is approximately just over 1.1 million, which is much less than the 21.9 million monthly Spotify listeners or the 71 million views of the announcement video on Instagram, so tickets are likely to be hard to get hold of.

A spokesperson from Playlist Name AI commented: “Since the rumours and announcement at the start of the week, Oasis has been trending, with a further five million searches for the band themselves. It’s fair to say that this is a big deal in Britain. Oasis is well and truly back.
After years of speculation and fan yearning, the iconic band’s reunion has got people buzzing. The searches alone show how many people are looking to get tickets through the ballot, and that’s not including the fans who knew the answer without Google.
For fans and music lovers alike, this reunion is a chance to relive or experience for the first time the magic and nostalgia that only Oasis can deliver, making this comeback one of the most anticipated events in rock history."
