Following its debut radio play on BBC Radio One’s Future Pop show last night, rising pop sensation, Lo Lauren has released her brand new electric single, Wonder. The glittery, infectious track is led by Lo’s signature sugar-sweet vocals, and culminates in a pulsing, euphoric chorus.

Written by Lo and her close team of collaborators, she teamed up with world renowned mixer Mark ‘Spike’ Stent and had it mastered by Idania Valencia at Sterling Sound, in New York. Wonder, a certified feel-good pop banger, explores themes of what-ifs and ones that got away, is out now. Listen below.

The music video sees Lo transported into a dream scenario with her love interest, perfectly complementing the wishful lyrics. Directed by Joel Reyes and shot in Tring by Carl Matthews, the video will premiere on YouTube this eve at 5pm, here.

Lo explains, “If this song was a sweet, it would be popping candy. Fizzy, exciting & nostalgic. It’s an ode to every ‘could’ve been’ throughout my life; the exes, the flings, the strangers on the tube... and a song in which your imagination can run wild with possibilities. It’s longing for an alternative reality where they’re no longer the one that got away, no longer the one who was almost yours. I truly, madly, deeply love Wonder and it was one of those magical songs that wrote itself in about 10 minutes at the end of a really long, tiring day - a reminder to keeeeep going!”

Wonder marks the start of a compelling new chapter for Lo, and is the first track to be taken from her debut EP, Wonderlust! Taking the listener on a journey through the highs and lows, twists and turns of young womanhood, the highly-anticipated body of work will be released next year.

Lo performed at The Hundred cricket tournament at the Oval on behalf of BBC Introducing, recently. The tournament kicked off with Cat Burns, and Lo joined the bill with other artists such as Nell Mescal and Another Sky, before Zara Larsson closed the event. Lo has previously supported the likes of Rudimental and 220 Kid and sets her sights on one day headlining Glastonbury.

2023 saw Lo release a slew of singles including Monster, Never The One and Only One On Earth, which she followed up with her most recent single, No Good In Goodbye, earlier this year. Around these releases, Lo has received solid radio support from BBC Radio 1, BBC Introducing and Sir Elton John’s 'Rocket Hour'. She ended a successful year last year, as one of Abbie McCarthy’s ‘Tips for 2024’ on BBC Introducing Kent, and in BBC Radio 1 ‘Future Pop’s Class of 2023’.

Lo’s previous singles have also been featured on Spotify playlists such as ’sad hour’ (2+ million saves) and ‘young & free’ (1.5+ million saves), where she has amassed 500k+ streams.

Originating from Rochester in Kent, Lo has spent the last few years developing her own unique sonic identity. Drawing inspiration from the pop icons of the 2010s that soundtracked her teens and blending it with her own honest, hook-driven songwriting, Lo’s music is a melting pot of nostalgic, ambitious and unapologetic pop, poised to stand the test of time.
