Cheryl Cole Suing X Factor USA
- in Latest
Cheryl Cole is allegedly suing the producers of the X Factor USA after she was spectacular dropped from the show before it aired.
She only sat on the judging panel in two cities; Los Angeles and Chicago before she was sacked over claims that US audiences may not be able to understand her thick Geordie accent. She was quickly replaced with ex-Pussycat Doll Nicole Sherzinger who is currently on the UK version of the show.
At the time, Cheryl received a whooping £1.1 million despite not completing the auditions but claims that he is owed another $2 million for the second series which she did not appear in at all.
The reason she is citing that she should be paid the cash is that she signed a contract with the show’s producers, including close friend Simon Cowell, saying that she would be appearing on the show for two series.
Even though she did not in the end, she is claiming for the lost earnings and in addition to that, several allowances that she claims she was promised including $100,000 wardrobe allowance, $25,000 stylist allowance, $15,000-per-month apartment allowance and a $2,500-per-month living allowance.
There have been hints that Cheryl might be returning to the UK version of the show next year to help boost the flagging ratings of this year’s series.
