Fresh off receiving MTV’s prestigious Video Vanguard Award at the 2024 VMAs, Katy Perry has dropped her latest single, “I’m His, He’s Mine” featuring Doechii. The infectious track, where both artists confidently express their love and loyalty, is a standout from Perry’s upcoming album, 143, set to release on September 20 via Capitol Records. In the accompanying music video, directed by Torso, Perry embraces her fearless persona, skydiving into a passionate embrace with her man and performing on the hood of his Corvette as they race through the streets of Barcelona. Doechii, who recently released her mixtape Alligator Bites Never Heal, makes a dramatic entrance, descending from a drone to declare her own devotion.

Perry also made a triumphant return to the MTV stage on September 11, performing a career-spanning medley of her biggest hits during the VMAs. The performance featured the debut television performance of “I’m His, He’s Mine” with a surprise appearance by Doechii, marking Perry’s first VMAs performance since 2017.
