Metallica has officially extended its record-breaking M72 World Tour into a third year, announcing 21 new North American shows set for April, May, and June 2025. The tour, which has already captivated millions since its launch in 2023, will continue the signature No Repeat Weekends—with each night featuring entirely different setlists and support from heavy-hitting bands like Pantera, Limp Bizkit, Suicidal Tendencies, and Ice Nine Kills.

The newly announced leg kicks off April 12 at the Sick New World festival in Las Vegas and will take Metallica to major stadiums across the U.S. and Canada. Highlights include their first Nashville shows in five years at Nissan Stadium, as well as a highly anticipated return to Tampa after a 15-year absence at Raymond James Stadium. The 2025 run also includes Metallica’s first-ever performances at Levi’s Stadium in their hometown Bay Area, a monumental moment for longtime fans.

For the first time, the M72 tour will bring its massive in-the-round stage to college football stadiums, including Virginia Tech’s Lane Stadium in Blacksburg on May 7. The venue has a special connection to the band, as the Hokies have used Metallica's hit "Enter Sandman" to energize their football entrance for over two decades.

In addition to the No Repeat Weekends, Metallica will headline festivals like Sonic Temple in Columbus, Ohio, combining festival dates with their two-night shows for an ultimate fan experience. Other notable stops include Syracuse’s JMA Wireless Dome and Denver’s Empower Field at Mile High.

Tickets for the 2025 dates go on sale September 27 at 10 a.m. local time, with fan club pre-sales beginning September 23. Citi cardmembers and Verizon customers can also access exclusive pre-sales starting September 24.
