Adele Could Be Fined £1,000 For Not Registering Her Baby

Singer Adele could be on the verge of facing a fine of £1,000 after failing to register her baby within the 42 day deadline in England.

Legally, parents are bound to register their children within this time frame, after which they and even their local registrars could get fined for the oversight.

The Sun newspaper reported that neither Adele or her fiancé Simon Konecki have made an appointment with a registrar despite the fact that the baby was born on October 19th, over 50 days ago.

An insider told the newspaper: "Cops are hardly going to be banging on their door tomorrow and it's probably just an oversight on their part. Most parents register their baby within a couple of weeks because it's a nice thing to do – and because there's a maximum fine of £1,000 if they don't. There's loads of reasons why parents are late and millions of couples don’t bother for ages."

If the baby isn't registered within the next few weeks, the couple will start to receive warning letters and then if they still haven’t registered within three months, the registrar office will then also become liable.

I'm sure the £1000 fine wont be such a big deal to Adele anyway, if it came to that.

The name of the baby still hasn't been public ally revealed yet.
