Port Talbot-born rising star Hannah Grae has just released her latest single, ‘Nobody Does It Like You’, offering fans a raw and emotional ballad that explores the complexities of healing from a toxic relationship. The song showcases Hannah’s powerful vocals and presents a more vulnerable side to her music, contrasting the confident energy of her previous hit, ‘Star Crossed Lover’.

2024 has already been a monumental year for the self-taught artist. In May, she performed her first headline show to a sold-out crowd at The Grace in London, which Rock Sound described as a "triumphant debut headline performance." This summer saw her supporting global icon Shania Twain at BST Hyde Park and delivering a memorable set at Yungblud's BLUDFEST.

Hannah’s second EP, Nothing Lasts Forever, released in March, further established her as one of the UK’s most exciting new artists. With songs like ‘Screw Loose’ and the TikTok sensation ‘It Could've Been You’, the EP, influenced by rock icons like Courtney Love and Hayley Williams, has solidified her position as an artist to watch, with praise from Rolling Stone UK, NME, and The Independent.

Hannah first gained attention with her heartfelt rewrites of popular songs posted from her garden shed, amassing over 144k YouTube subscribers and 271k TikTok followers. Her unique blend of nostalgic '90s rock vibes and modern, introspective storytelling draws comparisons to No Doubt and Alanis Morissette, while taking inspiration from contemporary lyricists like Phoebe Bridgers and Taylor Swift.

In ‘Nobody Does It Like You’, Hannah opens up about the painful process of finding yourself again after the end of a tumultuous romance. Reflecting on the track, she shared:

“’Nobody Does It Like You’ was a difficult song for me to write. I generally find it hard to be completely vulnerable in my music without playing a character or lacing the honesty with humour. I wanted to completely pour my heart onto the pages, erase the anger and sit with the sadness of my situation. Being angry is actually easy, especially when someone hurts you. After the end of my relationship, I found myself flipping between feeling furious and feeling empowered. Then randomly, when I’m walking down a busy street or going to pick up my groceries, it hits me. This feeling would, and still does, wash over me and there’s nothing to clutch onto, I just have to feel it. That’s what this song is about. It’s about the confusion and helplessness that comes with being betrayed and let down by someone you love so much. I didn’t recognise the person I walked away from, and that’s one foolish feeling. Pairing this song with ‘Star Crossed Lover’ shows the two strains of my healing process. It’s one thing to realise your anger and propel forwards from the fury, it’s another thing to take baby steps across a tightrope. Healing is a balancing act, and I hope that at least one person can resonate with my portrayal of that.”

Since releasing her debut EP Hell Is A Teenage Girl in 2023, Hannah has wowed audiences across the UK and Europe, performing at major festivals like Glastonbury, Reading & Leeds, and Rock En Seine. With even more in store for the year, fans can expect plenty more from this rising star.
