Country star Scotty McCreery has released the official music video for his latest radio single, "Fall of Summer." The video premiered Friday, October 11th, via CMT, with a special debut on the Paramount billboard in New York City’s Times Square, capturing the attention of passersby. Following the initial release, fans celebrated the premiere with a YouTube afterparty, where McCreery joined to engage with his audience.

The visually captivating music video, directed by Jeff Ray—a longtime McCreery collaborator from Austin, Texas—was shot in two locations close to the artist’s heart. McCreery is seen enjoying the scenic shores of North Topsail Beach, North Carolina, while the storyline, which follows a couple’s fleeting summer romance, unfolds on the picturesque beaches of Galveston, Texas.

“This video really captures that nostalgic look back at a past summer love that ‘Fall of Summer’ is all about,” McCreery shared. “Does the couple make it, or does the relationship end off-camera? I want to hear what people think.”

A Reflective Summer Anthem

"Fall of Summer," co-written by McCreery, Frank Rogers, and Brent Anderson, blends nostalgia with modern, cinematic production. The track, which is produced by Rogers, Derek Wells, and Aaron Eshuis, reflects on a love that faded with the seasons, leaving space for new beginnings. The song is currently climbing the Top 40 charts at US country radio and was the most-added track during its first week of release.

The song is part of McCreery’s latest album, "Rise & Fall," which has received critical acclaim across the music industry. Billboard named it one of the 50 Best Albums of 2024 (So Far), and its lead single, "Cab in a Solo," recently became McCreery’s sixth No. 1 hit.

Critical Acclaim and a Tour in Full Swing

Music critics have lauded "Rise & Fall" as a milestone in McCreery’s career. Rolling Stone called the album “every bit as legit as Jamey Johnson’s That Lonesome Song, Garth Brooks’ In Pieces, or Randy Travis’ Storms of Life.” People Magazine praised the record’s “newfound confidence and maturity,” while Holler noted McCreery’s evolution as both a songwriter and vocalist. Standout tracks include the bluegrass-infused "Porch," the faith-filled "Red Letter Blueprint," and the playful “Stuck Behind a Tractor.”

The album’s release also sparked fan excitement for a special version of "Fall of Summer"—the NC State Version—in honor of McCreery's deep ties to his home state.

McCreery is currently headlining the Fall of Summer Tour, named after his new single. The tour spans the US and Canada, and McCreery will also make his much-anticipated return to the UK next May, with five headlining shows scheduled across England, Scotland, and Northern Ireland:

  • May 23 – Belfast – Live at Botanic Gardens
  • May 25 – Glasgow – Barrowland Ballroom
  • May 27 – Birmingham – O2 Institute Birmingham
  • May 29 – Manchester – O2 Ritz
  • May 30 – London – O2 Forum Kentish Town

Duet with Callista Clark and What’s Next

In addition to his solo success, McCreery recently collaborated with rising star Callista Clark on the song "Gettin’ Old," released through Dreamcatcher Artists. Directed by Roman White, the music video for the duet offers a heartwarming look at love and longing, further showcasing McCreery’s ability to connect with audiences through storytelling.

Fans can expect even more from McCreery in the coming months, as he continues to balance touring, fatherhood, and releasing new music. With "Rise & Fall" already cementing itself as a career-defining project, McCreery is poised to keep climbing the charts and winning hearts along the way.
