Out November 15 on Sony Nashville, REBOOT II is a testament to Brooks & Dunn’s enduring influence and versatility, showcasing ways their music resonates with contemporary artists and fans across generations. In preparation for the upcoming release, the duo continues to celebrate their biggest hits in unexpected ways, last week taking over Whiskey Jam, where they were also recognized for over three billion Pandora spins, before surprising Lainey Wilson’s fans in Atlanta, Georgia for the first-ever live performance of their REBOOT II collab on “Play Something Country.” Wilson even sported Kix Brooks’ iconic flames shirt for the fiery duet.
Thursday’s Whiskey Jam saw Brooks & Dunn electrifying the Broadway crowd at Skydeck with timeless classics like "Hard Workin' Man," "Neon Moon" and “Red Dirt Road.” During the encore, they performed "Boot Scootin' Boogie" and "Only in America," inviting active-duty Marines to join them on stage in a heartfelt tribute honoring their service. Backstage at Skydeck, Pandora honored Brooks & Dunn with a commemorative plaque to celebrate an impressive three billion spins on the platform. Part of Pandora’s ‘Billionaire’ club, the duo is featured on the Country Billionaires station while also hosting more than 4.4M monthly listeners on Pandora’s Brooks & Dunn Radio station.
The weekend was capped off with deafening cheers at Lainey Wilson’s Atlanta show, when Brooks & Dunn surprised fans at Ameris Bank Amphitheatre. Together the three performed their new collaboration of "Play Something Country," featured on REBOOT II. Released last month, the propulsive country anthem showcases the duo's signature honky-tonk style alongside Wilson’s vibrant energy, creating a powerful blend of country with a ZZ Top-inspired flair. The unexpected collaboration not only energized the crowd but also underscored the seamless connection between these iconic artists, celebrating both Brooks & Dunn’s legacy and the future of country music.
REBOOT II, the sequel to Brooks & Dunn’s acclaimed 2019 project, features an exciting lineup of today's most innovative musicians, including Wilson, Morgan Wallen, Marcus King Band, Megan Moroney, Warren Zeiders, Jelly Roll, Riley Green, The Cadillac Three, Halestorm, Mitchell Tenpenny, The Earls of Leicester, Jake Worthington, Hailey Whitters, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, HARDY, ERNEST, A Thousand Horses and Corey Kent. Each artist was given creative freedom to reinterpret the duo's beloved hits as their own, putting wildly different spins on the beloved songs. Spanning genres from progressive country to metal to orchestral pop, the 18-track album transforms the very fabric of classic B&D songs, as the artists were encouraged to break conventions and explore new sonic landscapes. Fans can pre-order and pre-save the album ahead of its Nov. 15 release here.
