The X Factor contestants have finally had enough and are campaigning for Kye Sones to join them on the tour instead of Christopher Maloney who finished third in the competition.

The final straw was Maloney’s behaviour after he was eliminated from the show during the first night of the finals. He allegedly turned up late for rehearsals for the final group song stinking of booze and was intimidating to both the other contestants and production team.

A show insider told The Sun: "The other contestants have made no bones about the fact Kye was one of their best friends on the show and they would love him to tour.

"Nobody got on with Chris and after his outburst against Carolynne on Sunday, everyone is furious with him.

"They can't bear the thought of having to tour with Chris while Kye misses out."

Now the contestants have started a campaign on Twitter to get Kye on the tour in Christopher’s place.

Rylan tweeted: "#getkyonthexfactortour Bring my boy @Kyesones1 back!"

In addition to his message Ella Hederson, Union J and winner James Arthur have also all tweeted their support for dropping Christopher and have been encouraging fans to get the hash tag trending.

Simon Cowell’s dislike of the Liverpudlian was made public through the show but now it seems that he may be prepared to give him a record deal.

A source said: "Chris has shown how popular he is by winning the vote on the first seven shows.

"If Cowell doesn't give him an album deal then someone else will — and if you targeted an album of covers around Mothers' Day then it could sell."
